Last Rites For Mrs. Addie Wallsworth Held on Tuesday

Funeral services were held at the Nevada Methodist church on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 30, for Mrs. Addie Wallsworth, resident of Nevada for over 60 years with the Reverend O. E. Cooley officiating at the last rites.

The beautiful floral offerings were arranged by Mrs. Ada Cook and Mrs. Frank Purk.

Mrs. Ansel Freeland sang "Abide With Me" and "Good Night and Good Morning." Mrs. Norman C. Dobson was at the organ.

The pall bearers were F. C. Tarman, C. L. Gifford, Carl Stone, Dave Smith, Ben Fetterhoff and John McNerney.

Burial was in the Nevada cemetery.

The following brief life history of the most estimable woman was read by Rev. O. E. Cooley during the funeral service.

Obituary

Addie Wilson youngest child of James and Ann Eliza Wilson was born at Polo, Ill., July 20, 1886. She passed away at her home in Nevada, Iowa, on Nov. 27 1948.

When 17 years of age she came to Nevada and had lived here ever since. In 1893 she was married to Fred Mann. To this union three children were born, Sylva, now Mrs. Marion McDonald of Garden Grove, Calif., Tressie, Mrs. Jack Bates, of Ames who preceded her in death, and Gaylon Mann of Nevada.

In 1933 she was united in marriage to Percy Wallsworth who passed away in 1927.

Mrs. Wallsworth was a life long member of the Methodist church. She was a member of the Women's Relief Corps and a Past President of the Daughter of Civil War Veterans.

Besides her two living children she leaves 10 grand children and nine great grand children.

Mrs. Wallsworth loved her family, and her home, and she was faithful to her church and attended regularly until illness prevented. A wide circle of friends and relatives mourn her passing.
