Hold Final Rites For Henry Toll

Funeral rites for Henry Toll were held Sunday, Feb. 6, in the Congregational church in Kelley with the Rev. Floyd Newbrough of Van Meter in charge of the services. Burial was in the Dallas Center cemetery.

Mae Ford sang two vocal selections, "Jesus Saviour Pilot Me" and "The Old Rugged Cross", accompanied by Mrs. Junior Hines. Casket bearers were Everett Swanson, Raymon Swanson, Walter Swanson, Walter Down and Mark Burr.

The floral offerings were in charge of Mrs. Ralph Morford and Mrs. Ed Holland.

Obituary

Henry John Toll was born August 5, 1875, in Baltimore, Maryland. He passed away February 3, 1949 at his home in Kelley, at the age of 73 years, five months and 28 days. While still a baby he moved with his parents to Pennsylvania, and at the age of eight he with his parents came to the Dallas Center community. Later they moved to a farm near Kelley. In 1922 he moved into Kelley and began working for the Fort Dodge Des Moines and Southern railway, where he worked until his retirement three years ago. He was an active member of the I.O.O.F. since its beginning in Kelley.

Survivors

Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Emma Swanson of Kelley, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, two brothers and one sister.
