Hold Final Services For Lewis Anfinson

Funeral services for Lewis J. Anfinson, who passed away Sunday afternoon, Oct. 2, were held on Wednesday, Oct. 5, with a short service at her home, near Huxley, followed by services at the Fjeldberg church in Huxley with Rev. M. Harold Rye officiating.

Mrs. Orland Fjelland softly played favorite hymns as a prelude. The trio, including Mrs. E. D. Hall, Mrs. Charles Ferguson and Mrs. M. H. Rye, sang "Saved by Grace." Rev. Rye read Psalm 130 as the Scripture lesson and Mrs. Selmer Westvold sang a Norwegian hymn, "Den Store De Flok", a favorite of the deceased. The sermon by Rev. Rye was based on Phillipians 1:21.

A number of gifts for mission and for the Children's Home in Ames were received. In closing the trio sang "What A Friend We Have In Jesus."

Burial was in the Fjeldberg cemetery.

Pall bearers were Roger Fjelland, Ole Fjelland, Miller Wee, Jake Ersland, Weir Weeks and Dale Lester.

Obituary

L. J. Anfinson was born Oct. 30, 1868, son of John and Celia Anfinson, and passed away on Sunday, Oct. 2, 1949, at the age of 80 years, 11 months and two days.

He passed away at his home where he lived most of his married life. He was united in marriage to Rachel Skola on Aug. 27 1896. Three children were born to this union.

Survivors

Surviving are the wife; two sons Tom of Nevada and John of Huxley; one daughter, Mrs. Christy Mains of DeKalb, Ill., and 11 grandchildren and many friends and relatives.
