Hold Final Services For Joseph G. Miller
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Cambridge Methodist church for Joseph G. Miller, who passed away Saturday night at his home in Des Moines. The services were in charge of Rev. Mark Wetteland.
Mrs. Arnold Nerness sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Good Morning Up There", accompanied by Mrs. John Dyer at the piano.
Casket bearers were Raymond Kahler, Richard Seversike, Forrest Hatfield, Ernest Kahler, Sam Brown and Ralph Fleenor.
Obituary
Joseph G. Miller, son of George and Lugenia Miller, was born in Argyle, Iowa, on Aug. 27, 1900.
He made his home in the Cambridge community for several years. In the last year he moved to Des Moines, where he had made his home until the time of his death.
He was united in marriage to Frances Brown in Dec. 1930. To this union one son was born. Mrs. Miller and their son passed away in Oct. 1931.
On Aug. 29, 1948, he was united in marriage to Grace Traeger. He entered the service No. 23, 1942, and served at Camp Sill, Okla., and was released Jan. 29, 1943.
Survivors
Surviving are his wife, Grace; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Smithart of Des Moines; two brother, Addie Miller of Cambridge and Lester Miller of Fernald, and number of nieces and nephews.
Burial was in the Cambridge cemetery.
