Funeral of Dotson Child Wednesday

Funeral services for the little Keith Edward Dotson, age 4 years, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dotson, were held Wednesday afternoon, at Pleasant Grove church and internment was in the nearby cemetery. The services were in the charge of Rev. C. E. Lookingbill. The child's death occurred at Methodist hospital, Des Moines, after specialists had made an effort to remove a kernel of corn which had lodged in his lungs.

Keith Edward Dotson, son of Clem and Florence Dotson, was born August 2, 1922, and died November 8, 1926 being 4 years, 3 months and 6 days old. Keith was a lively child, so full of vigor and pep. On Friday afternoon while at play, he swallowed a grain of corn which lodged in his bronchial tubes. Physicians and specialists did all they could to save him but it was in vain. He died at 9:25 Monday morning at Methodist hospital in Des Moines.

He leaves four little brothers and two sisters with his parents to mourn for him. The sympathy of the entire community goes out to Mr. and Mrs. Dotson in this their first bereavement.
