James Oliver Shearer Died Wednesday of Sudden Heart Attack

James Oliver Shearer, 48, of Waterloo died suddenly Wednesday afternoon of a heart attack.

The deceased was born in Collins, March 25, 1895, the eldest son of L. D. and Lillian Shearer. He grew to manhood in Collins and was married in 1916 to Miss Ethel B. Carver of Collins.

During his married life he lived at Van Meter, Collins, Nevada and for the past eight years in Waterloo.

Five children were born to this union, three of whom survive. They are the sons, First Sergt. J. Oliver Shearer, now in North Africa and Cpl. Keith Shearer, who is in the U. S. Air Corps at Fresno, Calif. and the daughter, Margie Loo Shearer of Collins.

Besides his children and baby grandson he is also survived by his aged father, L. D. Shearer of Collins, his sisters, Mrs. On. N. Serbein of Collins, and Mrs. Myrtle Beisnecker of Lake Worth, Fla., and a brother Paul L. Shearers of Fort Madison.

Funeral services and burial will be in Collins, the date depending upon word from the son in California.
