Mike Fitzgerald Died Thursday at Santa Ana, California

Word reached Nevada today of the death at Santa Ana, Calif. on Tuesday of Michael C. Fitzgerald. Death occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Gregg, where he had been for a short time.

No funeral arrangements have been made as yet.

Mr. Fitzgerald, a native son of south of Nevada, lived and farmed in this community until 19 years ago when he left the farm and located in Marshalltown. Mrs. Fitzgerald died July 7, 1923, and shortly after that time Mr. Fitzgerald left for California and located at Long Beach, where his home had been since.

Mr. Fitzgerald, the younger son of one of the pioneer farm families of south of Nevada, leaves his daughter Kathryn, now Mrs. Geo. Gregg at whose home he died; his sons James D. Fitzgerald of Nevada and Michael Fitzgerald, Jr. of San Pedro, Calif., and one sister, Mrs. Williams Murphy of Long Beach.

During his residence in California Mr. Fitzgerald had made frequent visits back to Iowa and he kept up his acquaintances and friendships in the county of his nativity.
