Mike Fitzgerald Died In California as Result Accident

Michael Fitzgerald Jr., native son of Story county, died in a hospital at Los Angeles Saturday at 11:45 a.m. as a result of injuries sustained in a motor car accident on April 26, according to word received by his brother, James Fitzgerald, Jr., of near Ames.

Local relatives are still awaiting word regarding the funeral services and burial of the young man, it being probable that the body will be brought back to Iowa and interred in the family lot in Riverside cemetery, Marshalltown.

Mr. Fitzgerald was critically injure in an auto crash April 26 when the car he was driving crashed through guard rail of the Palisades Park at Point Fermin, and hurtled over the embankment dropping 150 fee down to the road leading to beach.

Mr. Fitzgerald was the proprietor of the Royal Cafe, 639 South Beacon St., San Pedro, Calif.

He leaves his wife, one son, Wayne and step-daughter, Marjorie, a sister, Mrs. George Gregg of Santa Ana, Calif., and one brother, Jim of Ames.
