From Stevens Memorial Chapel obituary, Ames, Story County, Iowa:

Bruce Glenn Kline
February 13, 1952 – April 15, 2019

On Monday, April 15, 2019, Bruce Glenn Kline passed away at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames, Iowa. Bruce was born on February 13, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa to Ronald and Lloydane (Young) Kline. He grew up in Nevada and attended the Nevada Schools.

Bruce was a Veteran, serving in the Marine Corps from 1972 until 1978. Upon returning from active duty, he entered into the Heating Cooling and Electrical business, owning and operating Kline Electric Heating and Cooling for 35 years until his retirement. He worked hard and was self-taught, a skill he developed as a child assisting on the family farm. Bruce’s clients were more like friends than customers, he developed a personal relationship with all of his clients.

Bruce enjoyed spending his time hunting deer or tinkering in his shop, he had an ability to work through a solution to a problem in his head, he was always thinking. He had a dry sense of humor, and sometimes you just couldn’t tell if he was joking. Bruce could be stubborn sometimes, but he had a huge heart and did what he could to help his family and his customers.

Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, John, parents, Ronald and Lloydane, grandparents, Lloyd and Blanch Young.

He is survived by his fiancé, Teri Karlzen, daughter, Jody Otto, sister, Susan Taylor, and his niece and nephew.
