Severiana Mary Alderman
February 21, 1931 – March 22, 2019

Mary Terrones Alderman, 88, passed away March 22, 2019, in Ames, IA. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Stevens Memorial Chapel (607 28th St, Ames, Iowa 50010). A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m., March 29, 2019, at St.Cecilia's Catholic Church with burial to follow at Ames Municipal Cemetery in Ames, Iowa. After the burial you are welcomed to join us at the Church again for a little luncheon and remembrance.

Mary was born in Ames, Iowa on February 21, 1931, to John and Josephine Terrones. She was a graduate of Ames High and soon afterwards married her lifelong friend V. Lloyd Alderman. She was active in the American Legion Auxiliary with her husband, both holding President and Commander positions. She was a member of Catholic Daughters at St. Cecilia Catholic Church of Ames. Mary worked at R.H. Donnelly’s in Nevada, IA. until she retired in 1986 as supervisor. Later she worked at Siglers Printing Co. As supervisor in their shipping department. She also enjoyed in home sales with several different companies through the years. Celebrity Jewelry was her favorite company to work with.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd and son Larry, her parents, brothers and sister in-laws, Tino (Sophie), Johnny, Jess, Toche(Joan), George, and Mark Terrones. Mary is survived by her daughter Rebecca (Greg) and son David (Leslie). Her Grandchildren James Fox, Brianne (Jason) Braun, Jessica Fox, Jackie Fox (Jimmy Janssen), Jesse-James Alderman, and Timothy Alderman. Her Great-grandchildren Tyson, Leo, Emma (Jackie’s), and Gianna (Brianne’s). Her Brother Tony (Pat), and sister In-laws Sarah, Alfie, and Deb Terrones.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Mary.
