Funeral Services For Thompson Baby Held at Story City

Story City, June 17 -- Funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Thompson, one mile west of town, Friday afternoon, June 7, for their infant son, Charles Stephen, who as born at the Story City hospital May 21, and passed away at their home June 6..

Suffering from leakage of the heart the child as taken to Blank Memorial hospital in Des Moines and brought back to his home here on June 6.

Besides his parents, he leaves to mourn a sister, Patricia, 4 years, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Mathiason and Mrs. Lulu Thompson.

The child was baptized on May 23 by Rev. W. E. Urich who also officiated at the funeral service.

Mr. Orville Olson sang "Jewels" and "Safe In the Arms of Jesus." Pall bearers were Richard Sowers, Robert Olson, John and Peter Hermanson.

Burial was in the Story City cemetery. Contributions amounting to $19.50 for the Story City Memorial Hospital Fund and $23.00 to missions were made in his memory.
