DEATH OF MRS. NORDSKOG.

Heart Trouble Takes Away Story City Woman.

Special to the Journal.
Story City, June 13.--Heart trouble was the cause of the death of Mrs. Jacob Nordskog, a well known Story City woman at half after ten o'clock Saturday evening and the funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock at the house after which the remains will be taken to the church, where Rev. Eastvold of Jewell, will conduct the public services and the remains will be interred in Fairview cemetery.

The deceased was a daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Oakland of Randall, being born May 29, 1873, making her slightly over thirty-seven years of age at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to Jacob Nordskog at Clear Lake church near Randall, on Dec. 12, 1891, and to this union six children have been born and with the husband, survive the mother. The children are Clara, Jennie, Joseph, Gerhard, Berdella and Gladys.

The deceased came to Hamilton county with her parents when very young and after married had always lived in Story City. Besides the husband and children, she is survived by her father and mother, three sisters and two brothers. The sisters are Mesdames M. Tegland, of Randall, John Holland, of Minnesota, and Ed Salgalaide*, of Jewell, and Peter and Gustave Oakland, both of Minnesota.

The sudden death of Mrs. Nordskog is a hard blow to all and the family will receive the deepest sympathy of the people of the community.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Mathilda Oakland married Edward C. Selgelid (not Salgalaide as stated) on 13 February 1909 in Randall, Hamilton County, Iowa.
