NICHOLS FUNERAL THURSDAY

Last Sad Rites for Former Nevada Young Man

Funeral services of the late Harold H. Nichols, 39, whose death occurred at the family home at Maplewood, N. J., near New York city, Monday were held from the Boardman home, Fifth and Avenue H in this city Thursday afternoon at 2:30 after which interment took place in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery.

The service was in charge of Rev. J. George Walz of Central Presbyterian church, who offered prayer, read a brief sketch of the deceased and preached a short sermon.

Two very beautiful solos were sung by Mrs. E. E. Martin, these concluding the ceremony.

The funeral services were attended by a large number of friends of the family, many of them of college days of Mr. and Mrs. Nichols.

The floral offerings were large and most beautiful, several large pieces being sent by the American Bell Telephone company, which organization he had been connected for a number of years.

The body arrived Tuesday morning over the Northwestern, accompanied by the wife, daughter, Ruth, and son Arthur and Grover Wiltse*, of St. Paul, a brother-in-law who had joined the funeral party at Chicago.

Mrs. W. E. Nichols, mother of the deceased, his sister, Mrs. Collin Nichols-Wiltse*, and a sister of Mrs. Nichols, Sr., came from St. Paul and there were other relatives here from a distance. Among the latter were Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Brayton, of Clinton, Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Brayton, of Des Moines, Mrs. J. L. Pollack, of Dubuque and Edward Boardman, of Parsons college, Fairfield.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Harold William Nichols sister, Collin Elizabeth Nichols, was married to Grover H. Wilsey (not Wiltse as stated) on 8 April 1911 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois.
