NORDSKOG BURIAL WEDNESDAY
Was Held at Story City Where He Had Lived Many Years.

Story City, Nov. 30--Mrs. Earl Tiede, Mrs. Birdella Bond of Des Moines, Joe Nordskog, Mrs. Jennie Larson and Gladys Nordskog of Randall were all called here Monday by the sudden death of their father, Jake Nordskog, who ended his life Sunday afternoon by cutting his throat with a razor. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock by Rev. Paulsrud at the Lester Henderson residence. Burial was made in the Fairview cemetery. RURAL CARRIERS PASS RESOLUTIONS
DEATH OF NORDSKOG REMOVED ONE OF PIONEER CARRIERS OF THE COUNTY.
In the tragic death of Jacob Nordskog, Story City mail carrier, who passed on at his home in Story City a week ago, the Story County Rural Letter Carriers association lost one of the oldest members.
Nordskog was one of the band of men who began carrying mail on March 1, 1902, and continued in the service without interruption. Of those who started in about that time there are but three not in the service, they being W. S. Hoon of Ames, Charles Fleming of Colo and O. K. Helvig of Story City.
The resolutions committee of the Story County Rural Letter Carriers association, called together by the death of Mr. Nordskog, passed the following resolutions
"Whereas, our brother carrier, Jacob Nordskog, has passed into the Great Beyond, and
"Whereas, Brother Nordskog has always been a faithful member of the Rural Letter Carriers' association, be it
"Resolved, that we, the rural letter carriers of Story county, deeply regret is passing, and be it further
"Resolved, that we extend our heartfelt sympathy to his bereaved family and in their dark hour we would commend them to the Great Healer for comfort.--W. B. Durrell, W. S. Hoon, H. Giebelstein, Com."
