Mrs Mary Kelly Rites Held Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Campbell Kelly of Des Moines were held Monday morning from the Ryan Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Spencer of the Central Presbyterian church officiating.

Mrs. Dan Huhn, organist, played a number of selections throughout the service.

The casket bearers were Earl Emmons, Jerry Emmons, Alfred Peterson, Fred Sorensen, Harry Sorensen and Carl Whitney.

Burial was in the Campbell lot in the Nevada cemetery.

Obituary

Mrs. Mary Kelly was born Aug. 1, 1891; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Campbell in Milford township. She received her schooling at Milford Township school

Mrs. Kelly had been a resident of Des Moines for a number of years.

Death occurred Friday in the Thompson Nursing Home in Des Moines where she had been since suffering a stroke in July 1956.

Preceding her in death were two brothers, Ben and Clifford; and one sister, Louise Hanus.

Surviving are two sons, Peres Lyman of Des Moines and Arvis Lyman of Chicago; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Emmons of Des Moines and Mrs. Nina Johnston of Flint, Mich.; three brothers, Robert J. Campbell of Nevada, Joseph L. of Kansas City, Mo., and Clayton of Inglewood, Calif. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Florence Woods of San Francisco, Calif., and 13 grandchildren.

In Attendance at Rites

Out of town relatives and friends in attendance at the last rites included Mr. and Mrs. Joe Campbell of Kansas City; Mr. and Mrs. Arvis Lyman and Dick George of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Dick Johnston and daughter Dianne of Flint, Mich.; Mrs. Bernice Emmons, two sons and two daughters of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Bud Wilkinson of Des Moines, Mrs. Luella Campbell Watson and Tom Campbell of Boone, Don Dreher of Tulsa, Okla. The Peres Lymans were unable to be present because of illness.

Following the committal services the out of town relatives and friend were guests of Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Campbell, 404 I avenue, for refreshments and a social hour. Mrs. Campbell was assisted by Jane Golden, Elmer Rorem and Mrs. Clint Price.
