Son Dies in Naval Hospital in Calif.

Robert W. Montgomery of San Diego, Calif., age 39, died Friday at the Scrips Memorial Hospital in LaJolla, Calif., after an illness of six months with Hodgkins disease. He was the son of Mrs. Jessie Montgomery, 621 14th St. Pl. and the late Frank Montgomery.

He was born May 25 1922 in Mason City, Ia. He had been with the Naval Civil Service for the past seven years. He was a veteran of World War II and was never married.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Jessie Montgomery of Nevada and his aunt, Mrs. Homer Boyes, 1237 J Ave. and her husband. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Montgomery, last February. He was also preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be held for Montgomery at the Ryan Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. with the Rev. James Dendler officiating. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
