Services Monday for Mrs. Lew A. Larson
Funeral services for Mrs. Lew A. Larson, 62, whose death occurred Nov. 7 in the Good Samaritan hospital, Phoenix, Ariz., were conducted from the Ryan Funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. with Elder A. Russell Hagen officiating.
Mrs. Russell Hagen sang two songs "Till the Morning" and "But For Jesus." She was accompanied by Mrs. Carl Jorgensen.
In charge of the many beautiful floral tributes were Mrs. Albert Olesen, Rose Pardue, and Mrs. Myrtle White.
The casket bearers were Lee Hoel, Henry Larson, Elmore Mayo, Richard Pierce, Reis Prati and Edward Shephard.
Committal was in the Nevada cemetery.
Obituary
Mary Hazel Elmore was born March 3, 1889, at the former village of Smayville, Ia. Her parents were Jesse and Evaline Elmore.
She was married on March 6, 1907 to Lew A. Larson of Nevada. For a time Mr. and Mrs. Larson lived in Chattanooga, Tenn., and at Detroit, Mich., coming back to Nevada in 1932, where they since made their home.
Mrs. Larson had been in ill health for a number of years. She went to Phoenix, Ariz., Oct. 3, for the benefit of her health. She suffered a heart attack on Oct. 20 and had been in the hospital until her death which came very suddenly Nov. 7 at 10:30 p.m.
Mrs. Larson had been baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist church when a small child.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Evaline Elmore, her four brothers, John, Albert, Walter and Wilbur and one sister, Mrs. Effie Belcher.
She leaves to mourn her death her husband, Lew A. Larson, her nephew Jack Belcher, who has made his home with them for a number of years. Also a number of nephews and nieces and wide circle of friends.
