Mrs. Hans Jacobson Passes Away After Lingering Illness
Mrs. Hans Jacobson, 76, passed away Tuesday evening at 9 o'clock after a lingering illness, the past three years of which she has been confined to Iowa sanitarium for care and treatment, all of the time under the care of a special nurse.
Funeral services will be held at Memorial Lutheran church, Nevada, Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with her pastor, Dr. J. O. Simon in charge. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
Mrs. Jacobson was a native of Sweden, where she was born on June 24, 1865.
She came to America as a young girl and here she was married to Hans Jacobson and they came from Illinois to Story county, and located on a farm northeast of Nevada in Richland township.
She leaves her husband Hans Jacobson, one daughter, Betsey, now Mrs. Clarence Morfoot of Nevada, a grand daughter Miss Grace Larsen of Columbia, Mo., and one brother in Sweden. One sister died a few years ago in Wisconsin.
Mrs. Jacobson was woman of very fine character greatly devoted to her home and family and took her long illness with fortitude and patience.
She is kindly remembered by a wide circle of friends as a good friend and neighbor.
