Services for area deaths

ELLA JACOBSON

Mrs. Ella Jacobson, 79, of Story City died at the Story City Memorial Hospital Monday. She had been in ill health for 10 years.

Born January 18, 1895 in Story City to Ole and Elsie Jondall, she was united in marriage to Clarence Jacobson February 22, 1923. They had farmed south of Story City until they retired in 1963 and moved to Story City.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Petri Lutheran Church. Rev. M. C. Hagedorn will officiate. Burial will be in the Story City Municipal Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home.

She is survived by her husband Clarence of Story City, one brother, Henry Jondall of Story City, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.

Mrs. Ella Jacobson

Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Jondall Jacobson, 79, were held in St. Petri Lutheran Church, Story City, Thursday April 11 at 2 o'clock with Pastor M. C. Hagedorn officiating. Mrs. Joel Jacobson, organist, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Harris Twedt, Jr. who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "How Great Thou Art." The congregation sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." Burial was in the Story City Municipal Cemetery. Pall bearers were Floyd Jondall, Theodore M. Barnes, Vernon Jondall, Melbourne Henderson, Ronald Henderson and F. Robert Kenny.

Ella Jondall was born Jan. 18, 1895 in Story City to Ole and Elsie Jondall. She lived in the Story City area until her marriage to Clarence Jacobson on Feb. 22, 1923. They farmed south of Story City until they retired and moved to Story City in 1963. Mrs. Jacobson was a member of St. Petri Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.

Surviving are her husband Clarence of Story City;; one brother, Henry Jondall also of Story City; and several nieces and nephews.

Precedinag her in death were he parents; 3 sisters and 2 brothers, Mrs. Ole (Lena) Jacobson, Mrs. Thea Barnes, Miss Marie Jondall and Lew and Si Jondall.
