Harry Wee Dies in Nursing Home Here At the Age of 79

Harry Leslie Wee, 79, Huxley, died Sunday at the Gilmore Nursing Home in Nevada.

Funeral services will be Thursday at the Palestine Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ernest Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery.

Mr. Wee was born on a farm near Huxley Feb. 3, 1886, the son of Lars and Karrina Wee. He was married to Miss Mable A. Leath, June 28, 1911 at the Palestine Lutheran Church. The couple farmed in the Huxley community for 27 years. He also operated a cream route for 18 years.

He had been retired in Huxley for the past 10 years.

Survivors include his wife, one daughter, Mrs. John Beard of Huxley; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren; three brothers, Chris, Eli and Miller, all of Huxley; and four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Johnson, Huxley; Mrs. Hilda Richardson of Ames; Mrs. Carrie Sydness [sic] of Slater, and Mrs. Mary Lowman of Fullerton, Calif.
