Funeral Service Held at Colo for Mrs. D. E. Bartello

Special to the Journal:
Colo, Feb. 2--Funeral services were held in the Colo Evengelical church at 2:30 Wednesday with Rev. E. C. Booni officiating. Pall bearers were Carl and Robert Guinter, Clifton King, Paul Donnley, Gerald King and Lester Settle.

Mrs. C. W. Yeager and Mrs. Chet Myers sang, Mrs. Merle Dickinson at the piano.

Mrs. Nel Perry and Mrs. Donaldson took charge of flowers.

Sarah Ella Buffington was born September 13, 1872 and passed away January 30, 1939 at her home in Oklahoma at the age of 66 years, 4 months and 17 days.

April 8, 1891 she was united in marriage to Charles Edwin Ginter of Colo by the Rev. Gilchrist. To this union were born seven children: Grant Ginter of Oklahoma City, Roy Ginter of Colo, Nellie Berg of Long Beach, California, Lorene Decker of Oklahoma City, Lucile Robinson of Bethany, Missouri, Mabel Borg of Davenport, Iowa, and Mrs. Ralph Pittman of Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Ginter who passed away January 31, 1926. Then on January 21, 1931 she was united in marriage to Frank De Bartello of Colo.

In 1921 she was received into the membership of Calvary Evangelical Church upon confession of faith by Rev. M. C. Miller and she retained her membership there until the time of her death.

Since October her health has been failing. Medical aid was summoned and everything humanly possible was done to restore her health. In spite of the fact that she gradually grew weaker she remained hopeful of recovering until near the end. When at last she realized that her life was to pass on she made plans for her funeral service. She chose hymns to be sung as well as those whom she wanted to sing.

Through her many years of living and working in this community she has gained many friends who with the members of the family in this hour of sorrow do feel the loss of her passing.
