Bryant Funeral Was Held Thursday

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Robert Bryant, 85, who passed away at her home in the second ward Tuesday, January 6, were held from the Christian church Thursday afternoon, by the pastor, A. V. Hart, after which interment was made in the Nevada cemetery.

Mrs. Bryant had been more or less an invalid for a number of years and her passing was not unexpected, occurring at their home where she was surrounded with a number of her children.

Elizabeth Bryant, daughter of Stephen and Abigal Pierce, was born in Ohio, May 2, 1840, and departed this life Jan. 6, 1925.

Her mother passed away when she was about 3 years old. She, with her father, moved to Missouri shortly afterward.

She was united in marriage with Joseph Morris in 1958, and to this union one daughter was born, Mrs. George Fry of Nevada, her husband passed away a few years later.

She came to Nevada, Iowa, in 1874, where she was united in marriage with Robert Bryant in 1875. To this union 5 children were born, all of whom are left to mourn her death. They are Mrs. O. C. Baker of Nevada, Mrs. J. M. Schultz of Zearing, Mrs. Chas. Schultz of Nevada, Mrs. Frank Kuhn of Rodman, Iowa, and Mary at home. At an early age she untied with the U. B. church where she always remained a faithful member.
