Death Thursday Of Mrs. George Fry At Daughter's Home
Death came peacefully Thursday afternoon at 1:45 to Mrs. George Fry, 84, longtime resident of Nevada, who had been bedfast for the past three months the last two weeks of which she was at the home of her daughter Mrs. Mildred Tyler, 1221 Fourth street.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Ryan Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Nevada cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Fry, long time residents of Nevada and Story county, were married sixty years on October 1. Their home has been at 1625 Second street for many years.
The deceased is survived by her husband, by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Kuhn and Mrs. Mildred Tyler of Nevada, by seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and by other relatives and a host of friends.
Mrs. Fry was born at Memphis, Mo., August 7, 1861. She was married in Nevada Oct. 17, 1885, to George Fry and had been a resident of this community for 70 years.
Besides her immediate family she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. O. C. Baker, Miss Mary Bryant and Mrs. Charles Schultz, all of Nevada.
The body is at the Ryan Funeral home where is will remain until the time of the services which will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. C. E. Lookingbill officiating.
