Mrs. Andrew Valen Dies Sunday Evening

STORY CITY--Mrs. Andrew O. Valen, who was 83 years old in December, died at her home Sunday evening in Story City. Mrs. Valen was a native of Norway, but had lived in Story City for 50 years or more.

Funeral services are tentatively planned for Wednesday afternoon. They will be held from the St. Petri Lutheran church in Story City, with burial in the Story City cemetery. Rev. Ocee Johnson will be in charge of the services.

She is survived by four sons, Bernt Egenes of Red Lodge, Montana, John Egenes of Story City, Herbert Egenes of Story City and Edwin Egenes of Knoxville; one daughter, Mrs. Inga Glider of Des Moines. Arnt Egenes, another son passed away about two years ago. A sister, Mrs. Joseph T. Johnson of Story City and a half sister who resides in Wisconsin also survive.
