Railroad Accident

A brakeman on the westward bound freight train, last Monday lost his life about three miles this side of Wheatland. When last seen, he was at his post on the top of one of the cars, which were quite icy and it is supposed he lost his footing and fell. His body was found in pieces for distance of a mile or more. He was the son of Mr. Brazzleton [sic], a hotel keeper between Nevada and Des Moines.
