FORMER ZEARING MAN WAS CALLED

R. H. ZEIGLER DIED AT HOME OF SON NEAR MARIETTA, MINNESOTA

Special to the Journal.
Zearing, March 17--The death of R. H. Zeigler, former Zearing man occurred Friday at the home of his son Frank Zeigler, at Marietta, Minnesota, according to word received here Friday by relatives and friends. Mr. Zeigler had been seriously ill for several weeks, suffering from cancer and his death was not unexpected. About a year ago he closed his home at this place and spent a part of his time at the home of his daughter Mrs. Oscar Hanson and part time at the son's home. He was about seventy five years old and is survived by two sons Frank Zeigler at whose home he died, Will Zeigler of Webster City, and two daughters Mrs. Oscar Hanson of Oxford Junction and Mrs. Laura Nance who helped care for the father during his last sickness.

Funeral services were held Sunday at Marietta and the body was taken to Earlville, Illinois, for interment beside the wife and mother who preceded him in death several years ago. A son Gale Zeigler and a daughter Mrs. Grace Holveck have also preceded him in death. Earlville was the former home of the family before coming to Zearing some twenty years ago.
