Funeral Services Held at Colo for Mother Mrs. Silliman

Colo, July 17--Funeral services for Mrs. Arra Belle Erb-Seaman, 83, who died at the home of Mrs. Silliman, here Sunday, were held at the home Wednesday morning at 10:30, conducted Rev. A. E. Cochell, pastor of the local Methodist Episcopal church.

Favorite hymns were sang by a ladies trio consisting of Mrs. S. B. Goodenow, Mrs. Mary McCoy Wilson and Mrs. Roger Hopkins.

Interment was n the old family lot in the cemetery at Pleasantville, the ground for which was given to the city by Grandfather Erb.

Mrs. Arra Belle Erb Seaman passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Eva B. Silliman Sunday evening July 12th, 1936 at 8 p. m. at the age of 83 years and 9 months.

She was the daughter of Joseph and Lettie McDaniel, born at Ladoga, Ind., Oct. 5th, 1852.

Arra Belle McDaniel was united in marriage to Benjamin Franklin Erb Sept. 18th, 1868, at Knoxville, Ia. The earlier pat of their married life was spent at Pleastantville, Ia.

Three children were born to this union. One son and two daughters, Ellie Ellsworth Erb of Lancer, Canada, Eva Belle Silliman of Colo and Nora Ellen Kennard of Des Moines.

The 9th of Dec. 1910 the husband and father of this union passed away at the Seaman sanitorium in Des Moines.

Eight years later Arra Belle Erb and Dr. C. O. Seaman were untied in marriage. Fourteen years later Dr. Seaman passed away Nov. 27th, 1931.

Mrs. Seaman maintained her home in Des Moines for one year after Dr. Seamon's death and since that time has made her home in Colo with her daughter Eva.

Early in life she united with the Methodist church and was devoted to her christian faith.

She leaves to mourn her passing her three children and one sister, Mrs. J. W. Wilson of Knoxville; other relatives a son in law J. A. Kennard and wife of Des Moines, a brother in law J. W. Wilson of Knoxville; besides many distant relatives and a host of dear friends.
