Mrs. Gurine Johnson was born June 1, 1864 in Espener, Norway, and passed away at the General hospital in Des Moines July 4, 1936 at the age of 72 years. She was united in marriage Dec. 29, 1886 to Gustavous Johnson and to this union 10 children were born, seven of whom are living, Anthon of Des Moines, Mrs. Jennie Wallace of Steelville, Mo., Carl of Austin, Minn., Mrs. Inger Holm, Des Moines, Berdines of Columbus, O., Mrs. Hilda Grinde of Ackley, Mandius of Radcliffe, all of who were present at the funeral.
