Former Story Resident Dead

Rev. Birdie V. Bachelor died in a hospital at Muscatine the last of last week and the funeral service was held in the Friends Church there Sunday afternoon, after which the body was interred in the family lost in Muscatine.

Death occurred at Mercy hospital where she had been taken for an operation for appendicitis, according to word received by friends here.

Birdie V. Bachelor was a resident of Nevada for a number of years, coming here as pastor of the Friends Church of Nevada and later was elected County Recorder in which office she served during 1915 and 1916.

Shortly after leaving the office she returned to her old home at Muscatine and served the Friends Church there as its pastor for several years.

She is kindly remembered by a number of Nevaad and Story County friends.
