ZEARING WOMAN DIED SUDDENLY

FUNERAL OF MRS. EDGAR DEAL HELD AT EVANGELICAL CHURCH THERE TODAY

Special to the Journal
Zearing, March 10--This community was shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. Edgar M. Deal, 45, which occurred Saturday morning at St. Thomas hospital as she was preparing to leave the hospital to return home. She had been a patient at the hospital where three weeks ago she underwent an operation for fibroid tumor.

The last week she was able to be up and about her room and was feeling especially well Saturday morning and while the nurse was getting her in readiness to leave she suddenly spoke of feeling quite ill and before her attending physician would arrive her life had gone.

Mrs. Deal was well known in this community where she had lived since a child twelve years ago. She was born near Ostego, Ohio, the daughter of Alex and Kate Norman and was forty-five years of age.

The cause of her death was the forming of a blood clot on the brain.

She is survived by her husband and five sons and four daughters, all of whom are at home with the exception of the eldest daughter, Mrs. Mabel Roberts of Chicago, Merle Deal also of Chicago and Harold whose whereabouts are unknown. Those at home are the Misses Eva, Thelma and Elva, and Virgil, Paul and Wayne. She is also survived by one brother Charles E. Norman of this place. The family is extended heartfelt sympathy by a host of friends in the community.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the Evangelical church, and interment at this place.
