ZEARING WOMAN SUICIDES

DESPONDENT, MRS. WYKLE TOOK OWN LIFE EARLY TODAY

Special to the Journal.
Zearing, March 10--Mrs. Carrie Lutz-Wykle, 39, was found dead this morning about 8:30, her lifeless body suspended by a rope from a rafter, in the garage at her mother's home here.

Despondency over ill health is given as the cause of her rash act.

The body was found by W. F. Wykle, her husband of a few months, her mother, Mrs. Emma Lutz and sister, Nettie Lutz, who had missed her from the house and started to search for her.

Mr. and Mrs. Wykle were married in Nevada, Nov. 27, 1929 and started at once for southern California where it was their intention to locate.

Mrs. Wykle ws not satisfied and they returned to Iowa early in February and had been at the home of her mother in Zearing, pending deciding upon permanant settlement. During the past week or so it had been noticed that her despondency was becoming of a serious nature and she had been watched closely by member of the family.

She was watched during the night and it was not until this morning, the under relaxation of vigilance, she managed to elude the family, left the house, entered the garage and with a rope found there, noosed it, after attaching one end to the rafter and hanged herself.

She leaves besides her husband, her mother Mrs. Emma Lutz of Zearing, two brothers George and Lewis Lutz of southwest of Zearing and two sisters, Mrs. Lyda Skie of near Radcliffe and Miss Nettie Lutz of Zearing.

Mrs. Wykle was a native of Springfield, Neb., but had lived in and around Zearing for many years.

Funeral arrangements have not been made at this time.
