OBITUARY

Mrs. N. Dunkelbarger, after an illness extending over four or five years finally succumbed to the steady encroachments of disease, and passed away last Wednesday about one o'clock. Mrs. Dunkelbarger's maiden name was Mary Valentine. She was born and reared and married in Warren county, Pennsylvania. She was the mother of eight children only three of whom--Mrs. Hammond, Mrs. Chapman and O. L. Dunkelbarger, survive her. Her earlier married life was passed in her native state, and in Illinois, and the last 34 years thereof in Iowa. She was worthy member of the M. E. church covering a period of forty years, and was at all times a good neighbor and a kind hearted and motherly woman. Those who knew her best esteemed and loved her most. In her death her household has lost its best loved member and the community in which she lived one of its long time worthy citizens.

The funeral services were held in the M. E. church last Friday afternoon and sympathetically and appreciatively conducted by her pastor, Rev. Mr. Brown, assisted by Rev. Mr. Austin of Jefferson, a former pastor. All kindnesses extended by neighbors and friends are gratefully remembered by the households bereaved.
