Mrs. Josephine Lowrey has received the news of the death of her daughter, Mrs. Spencer, who lived in Los Angeles and to whose home Mrs. Lowrey had been urged by the daughter to go. Mrs. Spencer had visited here a couple of times and was known pleasantly to some friends of the Lowrey's. Her husband is a brother of Mrs. A. J. Barkley of Boone, who was over to see Mrs. Lowrey Sunday.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Adaline (Lowrey) Spencer was the daughter of Joseph Spencer and Josephine Jenkins. She married to Alvah Spencer, son of Wilson Spencer and Caroline Beaver Goodykoontz. "Mrs. A. J. Barkley" was Flora Elnora (Spencer) Barkley.
