The funeral of George Shalley, formerly of this vicinity, has been conducted here this afternoon form the Christian church. He died on Monday in the north where he had removed with the idea of farming, although his health had been such that he had been advised to move south. He leaves a wife but not children and numerous relatives and friends.

GEO. W. SHALLEY

George W. Shalley was born at West Fairview, Cumberland county, Pennsylvania, August 21, 1887 and died at Rodman, Palo Alto county, Iowa March 19, 1913, aged 25 years, 6 months and 16 days. He came as a child of five years with his parents to Story county and had lived here practically ever since. He was married almost a year ago to Miss Emma Airhart, and in February of this year they removed to Rodman where tuberculosis, of which he had for some time been a victim, finally claimed him on Wednesday last. His body was brought to Nevada on Thursday and the funeral conducted from the Christian church Friday afternoon by Rev. Ruppert. The deceased was a worthy and active young man, whose death is much regretted. Besides his wife he is survived by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
