OBITUARY
DR. ALBERT RICHMOND.
Advice was received early in the week of that death of Dr. Albert Richmond formerly of Nevada and before that of Ames, he having died on the 10th inst. at his home in Cleremont, California. His body was to arrive at Ames last night in the care of his children, and the funeral is to be held today at the Congregational church in Ames. Interment to be at Ames. Dr. Richmond was a man of fine character and ability and his death causes very great regret to innumerable friends in Story county. His wife died a number of years ago in Nevada, and his home has since been kept as it had been for some years during Mrs. Richmond's illness by his daughter Miss Anna, who and her two brothers are the surviving members of the family. The doctor was about seventy years of age, and had been in more or less uncertain health for a considerable time, although his friends here had no knowledge that his condition was serious.
From Nevada Representative March 21, 1913
The funeral of the late Dr. Richmond was conducted according to announcement Tuesday afternoon in the Congregational church at Ames, the funeral party having arrived from California the previous night. Three of the four children, Bert, Miss Anna and James, were over to Nevada Thursday afternoon greeting friends, it being their first visit here since Miss Anna with her father removed five years ago to California. Their report was that their father's death was to them quite expected, his condition for some time having been known to the family as hopeless. The two sons will return almost immediately to Los Angeles and to Nelson, Nebraska respectively and Miss Anna will accompany them to Omaha, where she will spend the next few months, visiting here and at Ames again before returning to California in the fall.
