Paul Proudfoot, of Indianola, a son of Senator Proudfoot of Warren county, was killed Saturday night by the cars in East Des Moines, in which city he was employed. He was less than twenty years of age, and his death is a shock to friends and relative among whom are the family of Rev. Shaw, Mrs. Shaw being a cousin of Senator Proudfoot. It is supposed that the young man rode a cross the river on an Indianola train and missed his footing in jumping off.
