John Dieffenbacker, a member of the family of Dieffenbackers who came to Story county at an early day and settled on the farm in Milford township now owned and occupied by George Kimble, died a few days ago at his home in Spokane, Washington. Mr. Diffenbacker went west about thirty years ago, married and has long resided at Spokane. His daughter, Mrs. Lucy Evans, visited her father's friends in Nevada last summer.
