OBITUARY
DEATH OF MICHAEL COOK
Henry Michael Cook, long a well known resident of Story county, died at his home in this city about four o'clock this morning aged about 64 years. He had been in declining health for about three years, and a year ago he had a paralytic stroke, since which time his decline had been more rapid and for several weeks his family and friends have been compelled to recognize that its end was near.
Mr. Cook was native of Ohio and a brother of John W. Cook of this city and the late Jas. W. Cook. He came to this county about forty years ago and located first near Colo. Soon afterward he bought the farm near the center of Richland township, which was his homestead until his removal to Nevada about two years ago. He leaves his wife, three sons and three daughters: Frank, William and Orville, Mrs. Manuel Smith of Humboldt, Mrs. Greeley Handsaker and Vernie. He was a successful farmer and a man much esteemed throughout the community in which he lived. His funeral will be conducted Sunday at two o'clcock from the M. E. church in Johnson's Grove, by Rev. A. M. Elliott of Ames.
