A FATAL FIRE
Mrs. Wm.* May of Cambridge is Victim

A fire near Cambridge Friday afternoon resulted in the death in her own home of Mrs. Wm.* May and of the destruction of the home in which she lived with her son Harvey May. The latter was in town at the time and the only man early at the fire was the nearest neighbor, John Lee. He succeeded at risk of his own life in entering the burning house where he found Mrs. May's body on the floor. He brought her out; but she was already dead. Mrs. May was about 75 years of age and a pioneer in that country.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Luama H. (Stratton) May was Mrs. John George May, not Mrs. William May as stated. She died December 10, 1915.
