Nevada Banker Mourns Death of Mother Today

Mrs. Minnie Bassett, 77, mother of L. R. Bassett* of 806 Eighth street Nevada , died last night in a hospital at Enid, Oklahoma, following two operations and illness of some weeks.

The home of Mrs. Bassett was at Cleo, Oklahoma and the funeral services will be held there on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 according to word reaching Nevada today from L. R. Bassett who with Mrs. Bassett has been in Oklahoma wince a week ago Saturday when they were call there because of the illness of his mother.

Further particulars of the illness and death of Mrs. Bassett Sr. are not known here.

The son, L. R. Bassett, a cashier of the Nevada National Bank and has been a resident of Nevada for several years, coming here from Odbolt, where he had been connected with another bank.

*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: L. R. Bassett was Laurence Robert Bassett, son of Norton Henry Bassett and Minerva "Minnie" Johnson. He was married to Margaret Helmick.
