Mrs. Brown, 84, Died
Mrs. Louise Brown, 84, 220 Southeast Second St., died yesterday at about 1:25 p.m., at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Leslie Brown, 1524 Douglas Ave.
Born southeast of Ames, she had been a lifetime resident of this community.
Surviving are two sons, Bernice of Thornton and Mearl, 312 South Russell Ave.; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Bunning, Washington; 12 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo D. and three sons, Corwin, Leslie and Clarence.
Burial will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. from the Stevens Funeral Home. The Rev. Norman Tosten of the Church of God will officiate.
The body will lie in state Sunday until time of service.

LOUISA M. BROWN
Funeral services for Mrs. Louisa M. Brown, 84, 220 So. Second St., were held Feb. 1, with burial in the Ames Municipal Cemetery.
She died Jan. 28. The Rev. Norman Tosten, minister of the Assembly of God Church officiated at services held at the Stevens Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Leo Scott, Roy Scott, Glen Scott, Leland Scott, Jimmy and Dean Shaffer.
Mrs. Brown was born Dec. 27, 1875, near Cambridge and was the daughter of Sylvester and Sarah Ann Scott.
In September, 1893 she was married to Lorenzo D. Brown. Six children were born of this marriage, five sons and a daughter.
Survivors include her daughter, Gladys Bunning, Maple Valley, Wash.; two sons, Mearl of Ames and Bernus of Thornton; two sisters, Viola Grames, Bothell, Wash., and Rose Averson of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one brother, Murrell Scott, Gentry, Ark.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Her parents, husband and three sons preceded her in death.
