L. D. BROWN

L. D. Brown died Saturday morning at his home, 320 South Second St., following a long illness. He was born in this county Feb. 9, 1872, and lived here all his life. He was an employee of the Northwestern railroad company.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Louisa Brown; four sons, Mearl, Corwin and Leslie, all of Ames and Clarence of Mason City; two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Brown of Thornton and Mrs. Ted Bunning of Benkleman, Nebraska; three brothers, James of Maxwell and A. R. and Manley of Slayton, Minn.; a sister, Mrs. Rhodda Rude of Des Moines, and his parents Mr. and Mrs. Edward Brown.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. A. R. McLaughlin in charge. Burial was in the Ames cemetery.
