From Nevada Representative September 10, 1902

Judge George A. Kellogg, formerly a well known citizen of Nevada, died Tuesday, September 2, at his home in Fairhaven, Washington. He was born in 1828 and was therefore 74 years old. He leaves his wife, son and two daughters, besides other relatives, including his niece, Mrs. Geo. W. Dyer of Nevada. Judge Kellogg was county judge of Story county 45 years ago, came here with the early settlers, went to the Puget Sound country and returned, and finally went there to stay about 1880. He and his family were warmly regarded by the older generations, and his death will cause mush regret. His elder brother, Dr. John C. Kellogg of Seattle also died only 48 hours before, aged 81. The latter had been visitor in Nevada but had never lived here. The other of the family of three brothers was Dr. Alonzo Kellogg who came to Nevada with the first settlers and died here soon after leaving his wife and baby daughter, who both still live here.
