Eva Merle Klinger
Dec. 30, 1911 to Dec. 9, 2002

Eva Merle Klinger, 90, of Nevada, died of heart failure on Monday, Dc. 9, at Story County Long Term Care, where she had been a resident for the past two years.

Eva was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Wayne County to Curtis and Mary (Beam) Osborn. She married Charlie Klinger on Dec. 14, 1938, in Allerton. In 1965, she retired as a telephone operator from Northwestern Bell in Corydon. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and needlework. She was a resident of Wayne County for 56 years and a resident of Story County for 35 years.

Survivors include a son, Max (and Marilyn) Klinger of Nevada; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charlie on April 23, 1988, and two sisters, Genevieve and Edna Pauline.

Funeral services were held today, Thursday, Dec. 12, at 10 a.m. at the Chet Ryan Mortuary with Pastor David Burling officiating. Burial followed in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the MS Foundation or Homeward Hospice of Ames.
