Sadie Chew
August 9, 1907 to March 24, 1992

Sadie Chew, 84, of Nevada died of cancer at Story County Hospital.

She was born to Jacob and Eva (Bockes) Chew in O'Brien County. She lived in Nevada for the past year after moving from State Center. She was a live-in companion in the Logli family of Ankeny. She was a member of the Minerva Township Farm Bureau, Maxwell; the Brethren Church, Maxwell; the Colo Thimble Club; and the Brethren Ladies Aid.

Survivors include a sister, Nellie Heltibridle of Grundy Center; three nephews, two nieces and caretaker/companion Janis Pyle of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and one brother.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maxwell Church of the Brethren.
