John W. Stromberg

John Wilbur Stromberg, 79, Nevada, died of a heart attack April 10 at the Long Term Care of the Story County Hospital, Nevada.

Stromberg was born in Boone to Carl and Alveda Stromberg. he served in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion. He also worked as a pressman for the Nevada Journal and had lived in Nevada for the past 15 years.

Survivors include one son, Carl Stromberg of Lancaster, Calif., two sisters, Lillian Kirchoff of Nevada, and Signa Rogers of Galesburg, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be held April 12 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Cooper-Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, with the family present from 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held April 13 at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in the Nevada Cemetery.
