Violet Maxine Ludeman
Nov. 27, 1918 to March 1, 1999Violet Maxine Ludeman, 80, of Nevada, died of hearl ailment Monday, March 1, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
She was born Nov. 27, 1918, in Story County to Clyde and Mabel (Soderlund) Finch. She married Ernest Ludeman on Aug. 18, 1946, in Madrid, Iowa. She retired from 3-M in 1982. She was a resident of Nevada since 1972 and lived in Adair prior to that. She was a member of the Memorial Lutheran Church and enjoyed music, dancing and sports.
Survivors include her husband, Ernest Ludeman of Nevada; a son LaVern Ludement of Nevada; three daughters, Betty Toot of Nevada, Janet Ludeman of Ault, Colo., and Diana Ludeman-Lewis of Ankeny; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Harold Finch.
Funeral services were held this morning (Thursday, March 4) at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Lutheran Church with Pastor Myron D. Herzberg officiating. Burial followed at the Nevada Municipal Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established. Chet Ryan Mortuary handled arrangements.
