Funeral Services For Mrs. Betsey Thorsbakken

Funeral services for Mrs. Betsey Thorsbakken will be held Tuesday, May 29, at the Larson-Peterson Funeral home at 1:30 and at the Immanuel Lutheran church at 2 o'clock with Rev. A. O. Skibsrud presiding. Mrs. Thorsbakken, who had been living with her daughter, Mr. Thomas Solbrack in Jewell, died Saturday at 12:20 p.m., at the age of 85, and due to a cerebral hemorrhage, three weeks ago. She had been living among her children for the last three years. Mrs. Thorsbakken was born in Norway but had lived in the Story City community for many years. Her husband, Ole, died in 1940. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Solbrack of Jewell, four sons, Otis of Randall, Arthur of Alden and Henry and Selmer of Story City, two brothers in Norway and two sisters, Mrs. P. C. Peterson of Deer Creek, Minn. and Mrs. Lambert Stole of Minneapolis, Minn., 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
