Merrill Dale Flynn
April 4, 1910-July 11, 1991

Merrill Dale Flynn, 81, of Nevada died July 11 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames as a result of injuries sustained in an auto accident.

He was born April 4, 1910 in Valley Co., Neb., to Frank Howard and Carrie Delight (Tappan) Flynn. He married Hazel Marie Railsback on May 25, 1934, at Sharon Springs, Kan. He lived in Nevada for 41 years and farmed for a living.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen Ardyce Selby of Nevada; one son, Merrill Galen Flynn of Nevada; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Dean (no address given), and James and Lyle Flynn, both of Boone; and five sisters, Carol Leornard of Mesa, Ariz., Dola Vodehnal of Ord, Neb., Delta Marie Page of Dodge Center, Minn., Elizabeth Cassidy of Fairmont, Neb., and Betty Livingstone of Fairmont, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

Visitation was held last Friday at Chet Ryan Mortuary, Nevada. Services were held Saturday at First Christian Church, Nevada. Burial was at the Nevada Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
