WILLARD W. VAUGHN

Funeral services for Willard W. Vaughn, 56, of 634 Seventh Street, Nevada, will be held from the Memorial Lutheran Church Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Wayne Hanson officiating.

Vaughn died in his Nevada home, suddenly, Thursday morning.

Born in Winterset, November 3, 1917 to Willis and Eda Vaughn, Willard Vaughn has been a resident of Story County for the past 28 years. He has worked as a salesman at McGrath's Furniture here.

On November 9, 1940, Vaughn married Helen Baker.

Vaughn was a member of the American Legion and the Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada.

Vaughn is survived by his wife, Helen; two sons, Douglas and Toby, both of Nevada; two daughters, Sue Vaughn of Ames and Mrs. Larry (Trudy) Allen of Des Moines.

Also surviving are three sisters, Miss Lenore Vaughn of Fort Dodge, Mrs. Lawrence White of Winterset and Mrs. Alice Clark of Winterset, and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters.

Burial will follow the services Saturday in the Nevada Cemetery.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: The last name of the Vaughan family is misspelled throughout this article. Rather than "Vaughn," the spelling is "Vaughan."
